Resident Terms Explained

Resident terms can often be confusing. Please find below an explanation of some jargon that is often used:

  • This is a legal document with precise terms and conditions of the tenancy. It is to help you the residents and the landlord to lay out the terms of the tenancy. Our tenancy has been approved by Dutton Gregory Solicitors.

  • We ask some residents to provide a UK homeowner as a guarantor to ensure that the rent is covered in the event that you are unable to pay it. This is not an uncommon request within the rental industry.

The person you nominate as your guarantor must own a property in the UK and can cover your rental commitment in the event of default.

  • Your tenancy agreement will state what date you need to pay your rent on. You will need to ensure the money hits our account before the rent due date, therefore we advise setting up a standing order for 3 days prior to the rent due date.

If you need our bank details to set up the standing order please get in touch.
